Where to place religious education in the academic curriculum, is one of the renewed discussions currently highlighted throughout the US. This debate has been motivated by developments planned to minimize provisions by providing a framework for religious education that can advance good practice in teaching and learning and alleviate some of the issues of training teachers and providing high quality resources when each local area may have a different syllabus for the subject. This innovative framework focuses on transforming schools together by supporting the whole student and integrating trauma-engaged practices. The scholarship programs may or may not be restricted by age or by college experience. Distance learning also allows people hundreds of miles away to graduate with degrees from the college of their choice.

The quality of educational institutions and their degrees is maintained through an informal private process known as accreditation , over which the Department of Education has no direct public jurisdictional control.
