Charter Leaders Call Special Education Funding A ‘Band

special educationSpecial education refers to unconventional education services designed to cater to the needs of individuals suffering from physical and mental drawbacks such as physical handicaps, sensory (visual and hearing) impairments, intellectual capacity (mental retardation and autism), learning disabilities (reading and writing skills), speech impairment and those with behavior disorders. Teachers at those schools are specially trained professionals who have specialized in special needs education while in university. Other students may spend part of the day mainstreamed” in general education classrooms such as for art and P.E. We credit our 100 percent special education graduation rate to hard work, desirable educational experiences and indvidual education plan development.
