Teachers, do you know how to get ready for the new school year and then what to concentrate on that first week? Open Education Week is a celebration of the Open Education Movement, that aims to raise awareness about open education and its impact on teaching and learning worldwide. International Education Week (IEW), November 18-22, 2019, is an opportunity to celebrate the benefits of international education and exchange worldwide.
In order to successfully prepare students for the jobs and economy of the future, education must be dynamic and forward‑thinking in its scope and focus. My Administration supports educational freedom by opposing one-size-fits-all Federal regulations, restoring decision-making authority to State and local leaders, and empowering families and students.
Everyone is invited to this International Education Week kickoff event which features short films by UC Davis students describing their study, research, and service experiences from 10 nations around the world. As well as gifts, students organise events and activities to be enjoyed by everyone.
So the student will still receive a quality education just as they would if they attended a traditional high school. Students learn because they will get something physical for it. The teaching goal is to move students to the level of working for internal rewards, such as the feeling of pride attained from doing a good job.
Visit the International Education Week website for a full listing of resources, events, and programs to join in the celebration and further global education. For more than 30 years, Saskatchewan has dedicated one full week every year to celebrate student success and recognize the dedication and commitment of education professionals across the province.
