A few years ago, educational researchers David Pearson and Nell Duke asked the question, “What kind of thinking happens when proficient readers read?” This question led to ground breaking research results that have changed the way teachers teach children to read. This is what teacher strive for, an place where learning is the center of each students thinking. Courage, for example, is required of military personnel, while people in business act ruthlessly at times in order to survive in that Darwinian world. The emphasis of our inquiry is the target of the educational interaction – learning.
The team attempts to remediate the child’s concerns through regular education interventions. Pearson is the world’s leading learning company. I define my classroom as a place where students can transform themselves and transform each other through the learning process.
Over the years we have evolved a process through which we try to find the student entitled for funding first, and then we get around to developing an appropriate educational program to meet her needs. The suggestions presented here provide leaders with a foundation that acknowledges followers desire to share as fully participating members of the organizational team.
We envision Pearson Field Education Center as a nationally recognized model for experiential STEM based K-12 education, uniquely combined with the appreciation and inspiration provided by integrating the rich history of Pearson Field and the people and events that came before us.
