Good can often come from passionate visions of past government decisions. In this economy many are having a hard time just trying to keep their jobs let alone pay for their children’s schooling. I would also examine whether other federal programs or tax credits subsidize the creation of new charter schools and seek to limit the use of those programs for that purpose.
Choosing the type of education for your children is an important decision that will affect the rest of their lives. 12 The vast majority of secondary school students take the traditional Leaving Certificate. We frame Jesus in the public mind, as a dictator, who doesn’t care what you want, as long as your children act like they believe in Him. Unlike private schools, public schools are a government-controlled education system that stays in business through naked compulsion.
Since I choose to primarily home school my children, I often feel reluctant to condemn even a small part of the public school system. Most colonial parents apparently had no trouble teaching their children these skills. Even though the schools do their best to work with these kids, they understandably fall short. The Individuals with Disabilities Education Act protects the civil rights of students with disabilities by guaranteeing their right to a free and appropriate public education.
